MEIEA Grants Program / Timeline Check List
for Event
Production
In order to better serve
the interests and needs of MEISA members, the MEIEA Board will
entertain proposals from registered MEISA chapters to host MEIEA
sponsored regional events. The focus of such proposals should be
to plan, produce, and report on a regional conference that will enhance
the knowledge and understanding of the industry for MEISA student
attendees.
The proposal must contain:
•
Mission statement for the Conference
•
Contact information for MEISA chapter(s) faculty advisor(s)
•
Contact information for local chapter MEISA officers
•
Brief but concise description including the location, dates, and
possible speakers
•
List of persons who will work to host the conference
•
Itemized detail of request funds
•
Estimated overall (total) budget
•
Proof of support from a faculty advisor that will oversee the
conference.
Funding for Regional
Conferences
Some suggestions for funding sources for Regional
Conferences are your associated student government association, college
activity funds, or the MEIEA Grant program. MEISA grants may be
used to support a variety of activities intended to advance student
education in the music and entertainment industries and may
include--but are not limited to--regional conferences, workshops, guest
speaker support,
networking mixers, community service projects, mentoring programs,
chapter membership drives, etc.

application.
